It's a journey toward something. The crusaders went on a quest for the Holy Grail. Students go on a quest for knowlege. Many people spend their whole life on a quest for love.
Quest is also a computer game. This is not that kind of quest!)

Be A Language Cop
In my family, we have the language police - and we have the rest of us. I am a not a member of the language police. With my family, in my regular life, I am not a cop. I am just a regular English speaker and writer. Sometimes I am even a language criminal! I enjoy bending the rules, making up new words (destinaceous, fantabulous), using lots of slang, and making up songs and poems ("Skunk Milk" is a good one). But other members of my family are proud members of the Language Police. They enjoy catching others in their mistakes. Because I make lots of mistakes (I type and think fast and leave out words all the time), YOU have the OPPORTUNITY to be a language cop. Find my mistakes! Send me an email or comment on the post to let me know about those mistakes! What's your reward? The same feeling of pride the men and women in blue get. The knowledge you are making the world of English and this blog a better place. Maybe best of all: your English is so darned good you can correct a teacher! So go for it! Be a language cop! I dare you!
